Impact Of Pupil Premium for the Current Year 11 Cohort (2013-2014)

For the Current Year 11 Cohort (2013-2014)

1. There is a forecasted 24% improvement in the percentage of students achieving 5A*-C including English and Maths.

2. This will close the gap between this group and other students to 9%. This is significantly below the national average of 27%(2012)

3. In English 79% of pupil premium students are forecast to achieve A*-C grades.

4. In English this will close the gap to 6% between the pupil premium cohort and the non-pupil premium cohort.

5. In English 92% of students are forecasted to achieve 3 levels of progress. This is the same percentage for the pupil premium group – there is no gap in progress.

6. In Maths 68% of pupil premium students are forecast to achieve A*-C grades.

7. In Maths this will close the gap to 12% between the pupil premium cohort and the non-pupil premium cohort.

8. In Maths 74% of students are forecasted to achieve 3 levels of progress. This is a gap of 9%.

Attendance

In 2012-July 2013 there was a slight improvement in attendance and reduction in absence for students in receipt of free school meals. This is a focus for continued improvement – for more information please see the 2013-2014 action plan.
