The Non-Uniform day held at Newquay Tretherras on 6th November 2015 in aid of the Syrian and Lebanese refugee crisis raised a spectacular £1060.00.
The money will go directly to support refugee camps that provide shelter for desperate children who have lost their families whilst risking their lives to flee war and persecution.
Rev Pete Davy, when collecting the cheque from the school wanted to make sure that the students were thanked for their generous donation and explain how this money will be spent in the Syrian and Lebanese refugee camps.
Rev Davy commented, ‘I really want to thank the students at Newquay Tretherras for this generous and incredible gesture. The money will go directly to the Syrian and Lebanese refugee camps. It will be used to purchase a child-friendly tent for unaccompanied children in the refugee camp to begin the process of recovery from losing loved ones.’
