Robotics for Primary Students

Newquay Tretherras have been exploring futuristic technology with Primary students during after school robotics lessons.

The first session saw pupils from Perranporth primary school look at various programming techniques for robotics, building up to the big task of developing a robot that automatically solved a maze in an algorithmic manner.

Mr Anthony Lawrence, Teacher of Computing said, “I was extremely impressed with the determination students had in completing the tasks and their ability to think so abstractly and logically about problems.”

The sessions are running regularly on Wednesday, involving other local primaries between now and the end of the term, as part of the Computing department’s primary liaison.
