At Newquay Tretherras, Sixth Formers have had a busy few days organising and running a number of activities for their annual Charity Week.
The student’s fundraising efforts managed to raise over £1500 for their chosen Ebola and Lupus charities.
A dodge ball tournament and Staff Vs Sixth Form basketball match were held, as well as a soak the teacher event, Wii Games at breaktimes, sweet sales and a non-school uniform day.
A bake-off competition was also held, with the Sixth Form students bringing in homemade cakes and cookies to be judged and then sold. Year 13 student, Harry Stallard, was chosen as the winner for his jam sandwich cake.
“It was great to see the all the year groups coming together for the various events such as the dodgeball tournament which resulted in a Year 7 team Vs a Sixth Form team in the final. All the students have done a fantastic job in raising money for such imporatnt charities.”
