Tretherras Students Compete in The Night Surf

A number of Tretherras students, past and present, had a very successful weekend of surf when they entered into The Night Surf competition at Fistral Beach.

The annual event started during the afternoon and carried on in to the night when giant floodlights were used for competitors to continue surfing.

Luke Dillon, an ex-student of Tretherras who is on his way to becoming a professional surfer, came first in the Pro Junior category and third in the Men’s Open.

Current Tretherras student, Angus Scotney, came first in the U18 boys and fourth in Pro Junior whilst Year 7 student Finn Collins placed third in the U14 final.

Another former student, Jaide Lowe, managed to reach the semi-finals, only narrowly missing out on a place in the Women’s Final.

The competition concluded with the results being announced and the winners given medals and prize money before a fireworks display completed the weekend’s events.
