Year 11 students at Newquay Tretherras donned their glad rags and helped kick off this year’s fundraising drive to raise money for their end of year prom.
Dressed from top to toe in shimmering frocks and razor-sharp suits, stylish students were keen to strut their stuff at this year’s Tux and Tiara evening on 11th February.
Hosts William Grande and Alice Thwaites ran commentary for the catwalk show. Samantha Casey, Emma Chamberlain and Tia Wright performed musical items.
Around 30 students modelled a range of prom wear from shops including, Cargo, Foster Triniman and Pam’s Gowns. Local beauty specialists, Sarah’s Beauty – Moroccan Tan/Shellac Nails, Andrea Wilks – Make up artist and Kim Martin – Blush hair stylist also supported the event.
Mrs Julia Humphreys, who coordinated the event commented, ‘The show was a dazzling success, with students modelling high fashion like they’d been doing it for years. I would like to thank all the retailers involved for their support and making the night very glamorous indeed.’
