Anti Bullying Week 2019

From Monday 11th November, students at Newquay Tretherras will be participating in a series of activities during break times and lunchtimes as part of national Anti-Bullying Week (organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance and Votes For Schools).

Every House will be running a lunchtime activity to encourage students to participate in being proactive in spreading strong anti-bullying messages. For example, Godrevy House will encourage students to transfer messages of support onto textiles that will be made into bunting, to decorate the corridors of the main building. During break times, there will be opportunities for face painting and to buy cakes that will be decorated with the core message of “Change Begins With Us”. During tutorial time, all students will have time to explore and discuss various issues that are connected with bullying, such as cyberbullying.

Newquay Tretherras is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere we all student feel they are able to concentrate on their education without fear of bullying. Further information about our Anti-Bullying Policy can be found at https://tretherras.net/policies/
