NT Learning Hub
For the first half-term in Spring 2021, the vast majority of children in all year groups will be working remotely from home following their timetable and participating in live lessons with their usual class teacher. The school will only be open to a small number of children of critical workers and vulnerable children. All children are expected to follow their usual timetable.
Due to the rising infection rates in Newquay we have taken the decision to make it compulsory for any student who wishes to attend the hub to undergo a Covid Lateral Flow test in order to protect the health and well-being of staff and students in the building. As a result, by booking in your child to attend the hub you will be consenting to your child being tested, as set out in the letter which has been sent to all hub parents and carers. We have trained staff ready to support all students through the testing process, especially those who require individual attention due to anxiety.
Government guidance states that children with at least one parent or carer who is a critical worker can go to school if required, but parents and carers should keep their children at home if they can. The safest place for children to be at the moment is at home.
If you have more than one child who needs to continue to attend the NT Learning Hub, please complete a separate form for each child. More details on the school website: https://tretherras.net
