A trip to the movies is usually high on anyone’s list of activities for a fun summer night out.

This particular summer movie night topped the billing with a one-off showcase extravaganza from all the Newquay Tretherras Creative Arts departments, known as NT Creative. The one night only movie-themed collaboration between Art, Drama, Dance, Media and Music, showreeled 140 live performers, through on-screen movies and live performances.

Scenes from the forthcoming whole school production of Grease was also performed to the theatre audience.

Acts included NT Dance performing The Greatest Showman, Chicago, and a dance medley called Once Upon A Time. The NT Music Junior and Senior Choirs performed songs from The Little Mermaid and Pitch Perfect, whilst the Newquay Tretherras Jazz Band played the theme from The Incredibles.
