Year 10 student Jake James has taken on a challenge of rowing marathon for charity.
Jake, who has Cerebral Palsy and Type 1 Diabetes, is now a regular in our after school gym club sessions. Since joining, he has decided, along with his coach Simon Barnes, that he will take on this massive undertaking during our annual Sports day and set a target to complete it before the end of the school day.
Jake has chosen a charity close to his heart, Family Fund, who offer assistance to families of disabled children have a clear mission which is to provide items and services to all low-income families in the UK raising disabled or seriously ill children, that they could not otherwise afford or access, and that help improve their quality of life, realise their rights, and remove some of the barriers they face.
