Newquay Tretherras warmly invite you to an evening concert with the acclaimed Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir, who will be putting on a fantastic performance of African song and dance.
On Monday 11th November, Newquay Tretherras will be hosting the choir, which is made up of mainly orphaned children who attend the Molly and Paul Childcare Schools in Uganda.
The choir only visits Cornwall once every two years as part of their fundraising tour, which throughout the course of its 10 weeks raises funds for a British registered charity that in turn directly supports the schools in Uganda, providing education, clothing and homes for around 2000 children who would not otherwise be able to attend school.
Admission is free and there will be a voluntary contribution at the end – this is how funds are raised during the tour.
We can guarantee the concert is a real treat, both musically and culturally.
