World Book Week at Newquay Tretherras has been a huge success, with staff and students taking part in activities throughout the week.
The Reading Trees proved to be very popular with students who layered them with reading leaves; what to read, why we read, quotations from our greatest authors, and our general thoughts on reading and it’s significance within society today.
The cake sales on Monday and Wednesday proved to be an inviting temptation for all the students and Newquay Library came in on Tuesday and Thursday to provide our students with information about the local library services.
The time-honored staff dressed up on Tuesday as a tribute to their favourite books and our book club students judged Mary Poppins to be our winner of 2020.
There has been an ongoing competition for the week in which we have been turning our classic texts into comics… the winners will be announced next week.
