Today, in over 100 countries across the globe, people will be celebrating a love of all things reading as part of World Book Day Celebrations…
Things are a bit different this year because we are not all in the building together – you won’t get to see your teachers dressed as their favourite book characters or take part in the wonderful activities that we usually host. However, we still want to share with you our love of reading and encourage you to lose yourself in a good book!
Why not take a look at the pictures of your English teachers as children with details of their favourite childhood book? Can you work out which cute snapshot belongs to who? What was your favourite book as a little one? Are there any reads that you would recommend at the moment?
It’s not too late to get involved in our bookish bake off either – what culinary creation can you come up with inspired by a book of your choice?
Or, if you and your family feel like testing your literature trivia, why not enter the CELT schools WBD quiz?
Head over to the library ACCESSIT page on the school website where there are links to loads of other World Book Day activities that you and your family can get involved with!
And in the words of Dr Seuss:
