The Year 9 and 12 students of the Newquay Tretherras Interact Club have successfully raised enough funds to support their international charity project, Literacy Box.
Throughout 2019 and 2020 until the lockdown, the Interact Club raised funds for Literacy Box, a programme that provides classroom and sports equipment in Africa.
The Interact Club are currently supporting other projects such as Epilepsy Action and will be undertaking activities in the local community such as beach cleaning and foodbank collections.
Outgoing Interact Club President, Year 9 student Amy Sullivan commented, “We are so pleased to be able to help the education of other young people across the globe. I know the incoming President, Eden Hales (Year 9) will continue the great work we are currently doing.”
