Friday the 25th of June saw the first-ever Newquay Tretherras Year 8 100 Club, celebrating the achievements of Year 8’s who have achieved 100 positive praise points or over this academic year.
The first of several events, students were invited to come along to a classroom where they were provided with pizza, cake, and a selection of fizzy drinks, as well as some music – all in the idea of celebrating the amazing achievements of the students.
Mr Nicholls, Head of Year 8, said “It’s great to get the opportunity to celebrate the positives which students in Year 8 have achieved – they’re an amazing group of students and so it’s wonderful to have a moment of normality and positivity with them all”.
Well-Being Manager Miss Thomas added, “I’m so proud of all the Year 8 students. It’s been a very difficult year and these students have still managed to achieve so much. I’m honored to be part of this year group”.
