Newquay Tretherras’ Year 7 and 8 students had the opportunity to visit Cornwall Spaceport on the 16th and 17th of September.
At the Spaceport, based in Newquay, the groups saw the ‘story of the satellite’ exhibition. Here they learnt about the positive impact that space exploration has on our planet, through communication, farming and climate change.
The main highlight of the visit was seeing a life size model of the rocket that will be used next year to launch the first satellite into space from the UK.
