The Music Department were delighted to hold the first KS3 Informal Concert here at NT on Tuesday 2 May. A fantastic opportunity for some of our younger students to share their musical talents with a supportive audience in an informal setting.
Congratulations to all the solo performers who produced confident and successful performances. It was also great to hear the Junior Singers and The Rock Group who are both KS3 ensembles. The Samba Band opened with a fantastic set of very well rehearsed and executed numbers and it was great to see a whole range of Year Groups involved in this group, led by Dylan Gordon on the night. Jazz Band closed the concert in true Jazz Band style. The audience had lots of positive praise and feedback – a successful evening for all involved. The KS4 and sixth form performers were great role models for our younger students and were very inspiring for the KS3 superstars.
